Ministries

The town will be rebuilt on its old foundations; the mansions will be splendid again.
Thanksgiving will pour out of the windows; laughter will spill through the doors.

God's plan for our team and for The Table. Deuteronomy 1:6-8 “You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Break camp and advance into the whole country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates. See I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore he would give to your fathers- to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob- and to their descendants after them.” God is calling us to a destination that I believe is much larger and farther then we have ever dreamed. Through Covid-19, God shut the doors to the Manor. Yet, He also showed us that the manor is not a building but a branch of a very sick and dying tree. It is a mere part of an industry that He wants to remove through the root structure. This is indeed very overwhelming and seems impossible. Just as Israel faced the Promised Land that was full of giants, we are facing an industry that is full of giants. The Israelites natural tendency was to run away in fear and beg for simpler days as slaves. But there were men who choose to look beyond the giants in the land and see the giant of our God! They choose to look at the promise and trust in Gods faithfulness. Can we have the courage and tenacity to see the promise beyond the giants? Can we trust in our God who towers above all the giants in the sex industry? Deuteronomy 1:9-13 “At that time I said to you, “You are too heavy a burden for me to carry alone. The Lord your God has increased your numbers so that today you are as numerous as the stars in the sky. May the lord, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised. But how can I bear your problems and your burdens and your disputes all by myself. Choose some wise, understanding and respected men from each of your tribes and I will set them over you.” This is our Together team. God has chosen each of you for such a time as this. Some of you have mentioned you feel called to this team but not to the club. Can I suggest that this is because Together is not called to remain only in the club? When I look at our incredible team I am struck with the incredible wisdom, experience and gifting’s God has bestowed on you. Each of you are a necessary component to the journey and destination of Together. You are the wise women called to lead the tribes. I can picture the tribes as focused areas of healing trauma, through the arts and community. Areas like music, storytelling, poetry, dancing, nurturing and friendships. Maybe you are not the front line workers but the pioneers or guides. Maybe you explore and create ideas for this process. Or maybe you are the ones working hand in hand with those at our Table. Whatever it may be, I want you to first know there is only freedom in this. You are free in your time giving and your creativity. Just as those at the Table are free to come and go as they please. The table is a space of freedom for us all. After all it was the work of God that brought the Israelites into the Promised Land. They simply obeyed and trusted him. He went before their battles and fought with them. Yes they walked, fought and experienced, but the strength to do so came from the Lord through obedience and faith.

So what are the next steps? As you know I am finishing the Alliance History and Thought course in April. Then in May, Manuel and I will be celebrating our wedding! Until May I am asking that each of you pray about Together and the Table.
